I would like to see the player input inline with the game text. It would give the look and feel of the much loved 80's style text adventures like Zork.

Hi Caveman,

Originally I wanted it that way. Could easily be done in a DOS or "console" type application but I am using a 'Read Only' RichEdit control and I was never able to satisfactorily suss out how to do it.
In the end I used a separate textbox to capture the player input. In that respect it is quite similar to ADRIFT and CAT (the forerunner to TAB) and some other creators.
I also liked the 80's style adventure style and format too. Smile

Phil.

That's fair enough Phil. Yes I've tried Adrift and Quest also, and they both have user input in a separate box. Anyway, TAB has got me hooked, and I'll be using it a lot to get the hang of things.
Nice program, and I get the impression that it's really cared about and will be high on the list of adventure creation programs.
Good work

Best wishes
