 lantern and dark room

I've got a dark room (cave). My problem is that once the player is in the dark room there is no way out.

If the player drops the lantern somewhere before going into the cave I would like a way for the player to exit the cave and go get the lantern.

Is there anyway to do this?

Hi Sandy,
I am not sure I fully understand what you mean there is no way out.

In "dark" rooms the exits are not listed - but the exits still exist and can be used by the player (assuming you made some exit connections to other room(s) in the Locations Editor FROM the "dark cave")

In dark locations TAB prints:

"It is dark. You cannot see very much" or something similar instead of the normal room description, exits and objects visible.

Only when a lightsource object is present should TAB print the normal location describe for "dark locations".

If there is still a problem please expand or give more info and I will try and help further.

It was my mistake! Embarassed I forgot to put an out from the dark room. I've corrected it now so it works.
